NGL-Schüler testen Latein-Sprachdiplom

Die Initiative ist in Deutschland eine der ersten dieser Art und im Rahmen des zurückliegenden Latein-Austausches zwischen dem NGL und seiner italienischen Partnerschule, dem Istituto Lagrangia in Vercelli, zustande gekommen.

„Auch wenn die Schüler mit dem Zeugnis der zehnten oder elften Klasse oder dem Abiturzeugnis ein gewisses Sprachniveau bescheinigt bekommen, ist die Teilnahme an solchen Prüfungen und der Erhalt der Zertifikate für die Schüler ja doch immer sehr motivierend“, so Michael Rüdel, der das Projekt in Deutschland betreut. Sprachzertifikate ermutigten zu einer besonderen Lernanstrengung, machten die Teilnehmer frühzeitig mit echten Prüfungssituationen vertraut und seien in einer Bewerbungsmappe ein zusätzlich Extra, das Interesse wecke.

Die Prüfung findet dieses Jahr am 15. April statt. Organisiert wird sie in den Niveaustufen A1, A2, B1 und B2 zum sechsten Mal von der Turiner Außenstelle des italienischen Unterrichtsmimisteriums (Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Piemonte del Ministero dell’Istruzione e del Merito) sowie dem Rat der Hochschuldozenten für Lateinische Philologie (Consulta Universitaria di Studi Latini). Das NGL wirkt einmalig bei der Erprobung des Sprachdiploms in Deutschland mit und liefert damit eine wertvolle Rückmeldung an die italienischen Organisatoren.

NGL students test Latin language diploma

DELF, Cambridge, DELE – these language diplomas certify to students learning French, English or Spanish what level of competence they have achieved according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This school year, twelve tenth and eleventh graders at NGL are involved in testing a Latin language certificate.

The initiative is one of the first of its kind in Germany and came about as part of the recent Latin exchange between the NGL and its Italian partner school, the Istituto Lagrangia in Vercelli.

„Even if the students are certified as having a certain level of language proficiency with their tenth or eleventh grade report card or their Abitur certificate, taking part in such exams and receiving the certificates is always very motivating for the students,“ says Michael Rüdel, who is in charge of the project at NGL. Language certificates encourage students to make a special effort to learn, familiarize them with real exam situations at an early stage and are an added bonus in an application portfolio that arouses interest.

This year, the exam will take place on April 15. It is being organized for the sixth time at levels A1, A2, B1 and B2 by the Turin branch of the Italian Ministry of Education (Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Piemonte del Ministero dell’Istruzione e del Merito) and the Council of University Lecturers in Latin Philology (Consulta Universitaria di Studi Latini). The NGL is involved in the testing of the language diploma in Germany and thus provides valuable feedback to the Italian organizers.

Gli studenti NGL sperimentano un diploma di lingua latina

DELF, Cambridge, DELE: questi diplomi di lingua certificano agli studenti che imparano il francese, l’inglese o lo spagnolo il livello di competenza raggiunto secondo il Quadro comune europeo di riferimento per le lingue (QCER). Quest’anno scolastico, dodici studenti del decimo e dell’undicesimo anno del NGL sono impegnati nella sperimentazione di un certificato di lingua latina.

L’iniziativa è una delle prime del genere in Germania ed è nata nell’ambito del recente scambio di latino tra il NGL e la sua scuola partner italiana, l’Istituto Lagrangia di Vercelli.

„Anche se il livello di competenza linguistica degli studenti è certificato dalla pagella della decima o dell’undicesima classe o dal certificato Abitur, partecipare a questi esami e ricevere i certificati è sempre molto motivante per gli studenti“, spiega Michael Rüdel, responsabile del progetto presso il NGL. I certificati di lingua incoraggiano gli studenti a compiere uno sforzo particolare nell’apprendimento, li fanno familiarizzare precocemente con situazioni d’esame reali e sono un valore aggiunto in un portfolio di applicazioni che suscita interesse“.

Quest’anno l’esame si svolgerà il 15 aprile. È organizzato per la sesta volta per i livelli A1, A2, B1 e B2 dalla sede di Torino del Ministero dell’Istruzione (Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Piemonte del Ministero dell’Istruzione e del Merito) e dalla Consulta Universitaria di Studi Latini. Il NGL è coinvolta nella sperimentazione del diploma di lingua in Germania e fornisce quindi un prezioso feedback agli organizzatori italiani.
