When the English students arrived in Stuttgart, the atmosphere was a bit awkward at first, but over the course of the exchange this quickly changed. A good icebreaker was the bowling event on Wednesday after school, when the German students had been in class beforehand and the English students had taken a discovery tour of Stuttgart.
The next day, the English students spent a day in Heidelberg. In Heidelberg, they explored the beautiful old town and the castle. After that, many German and English students met up and went to the TV tower. Afterwards, the English students tried the typical döner which everyone found delicious. On Friday, which was the last school day before the Easter holidays for the German students, the English students visited the Mercedes-Benz Museum and also went to the Wilhelma, where they had a lot of fun. The weekend was then organized by the host families themselves, with some groups joining together to do activities. The program ended with an exciting day at Europa Park. Everyone enjoyed it, despite the changing weather from rain to sunshine and back again. After that, it was time to say goodbye at the main train station, as the British students still had to travel on to Munich to catch their flight. In conclusion, it can be said that it was a very successful exchange in which the British students gained many impressions of Stuttgart and Germany, and everyone had a great time.

Als die englischen Schüler in Stuttgart ankamen, war die Stimmung zuerst etwas angespannt, aber im Laufe des Austauschs hat sich das schnell geändert. Ein guter Eisbrecher war das Bowlingevent am Mittwoch nach der Schule, als zuvor die Deutschen im Unterricht waren und die Engländer eine Stadtrallye durch Stuttgart gemacht haben. Am nächsten Tag waren die Engländer einen Tag in Heidelberg und haben sich die tolle Altstadt und das Schloss angeschaut. Abends haben sich dann viele Deutsche und Engländer zusammengetan und sind zum Fernsehturm gegangen. Danach haben dann die Engländer den typischen Döner probiert, der mit in das Programm musste. Am Freitag war der letzte Schultag vor den Osterferien für die Deutschen und die Engländer haben sich das Mercedes-Benz-Museum angeschaut und sind auch in die Wilhelma gegangen, wo sie viel Spaß hatten. Das Wochenende wurde dann von den Familien selber gestaltet, wobei sich manche zusammengeschlossen haben und etwas miteinander gemacht haben. Beendet wurde das Programm dann mit einem aufregenden Tag im Europa Park am Montag in den Osterferien. Es hat allen gut gefallen, trotz der Wetterumschwünge zwischen Regen, Sonne und etwas Hagel. Danach hieß es aber Abschied nehmen am Hauptbahnhof, weil die Briten noch nach München zu ihrem Flug fahren mussten.
